Aah, I'm very happy with this one. :3

It started out as a matte painting for the master scene in a 3d production I'm working on at school. . .but I thought it looked awefully boring as it was. It needed a story. . . and I just love Pandora and Káluh so much, I had the itch to try a go at painting them without the help of pencil lines. And straight digital painting is hard, I've found! At least, characters without lines were uncomfortable for me at first. I'm so attached to my pencil lines. :p

I was going for an old silk-canvas look with this, and I'm pretty happy with the overall look of it. I'd imagine that might be Pandora's older sister, carrying the water back from the well to water the flock. (what flock?) I haven't come up with a design for what Pandora shepherds yet, so let's pretend that the munchy critters are just out of the scene somewhere. ;)

I like the texture of the painting. I need to find a good program that doesn't cost so much! Plus to boot the eye for detail on your characters is simply amazing!!!^_~

The lighting and overall softness of the painting is incredible. The colors are so calming too - tranquil, gentle, and kinda dreamy...

...and that's after seeing that other picture you submitted not too long ago...*cough* ;)

Stunning and almost looks like a real painting.

I like that bottom stain look. Clever finishing touch. Would also love to see another village scenery. Just the interesting layout is fun to look through. lol
