Aah, I'm very happy with this one. :3
It started out as a matte painting for the master scene in a 3d production I'm working on at school. . .but I thought it looked awefully boring as it was. It needed a story. . . and I just love Pandora and Káluh so much, I had the itch to try a go at painting them without the help of pencil lines. And straight digital painting is hard, I've found! At least, characters without lines were uncomfortable for me at first. I'm so attached to my pencil lines.
I was going for an old silk-canvas look with this, and I'm pretty happy with the overall look of it. I'd imagine that might be Pandora's older sister, carrying the water back from the well to water the flock. (what flock?) I haven't come up with a design for what Pandora shepherds yet, so let's pretend that the munchy critters are just out of the scene somewhere.
