Windy Hill by Etoli Windy Hill by Etoli
Her favorite place. . . Or it would be, if I had such a tree in my backyard. :d

MOH! I finished it! Yeah. . . for those of you who know what I'm talking about, this is the painting I had to show who was boss. :p

Anyways, this is a gift piece that I've been farting around with for ages, loosing interest, getting frustrated, then finally beating into submission with patience. . . and brute force! Originally commissioned for my grandparents' Christmas gift (wwwooohoo, it's late!) and now finally done. XD And I know. . .it's very . . . autumny for it being the 4th of July.

For you US folks, Happy Independence Day! Don't blow yer arms off!

You know I've never seen this in your gallery...I truly love this Drawing...And yes the light is the best place to be when you are need...As Job said "I came naked from my mothers womb, and I will be stripped of everything when I die. The Lord gave me everything I had and the lord has taken it away
Praise the name of the lord!

In all of this Job did not sin by blaming God...cause he knew that God is the light.

i love the soft blurring of the leaves at the edge of the tree... or whatever it is you use to describe what you've done there, really sweet!

I love how you didn't spend gads of time worrying about every leaf on the tree, it allows a viewers eyes to focus on the figure and trunk below it.

Not strange at all, actually! I think trees have this naturally invitign quality to them. Well. . .the friendly ones, that is. . .

I love this one, the way the trees roots are randomly twisted themselves into the ground along with the subtle movements such as the falling leaves and the billowing of the scarf, give it a natural realism.
The colourwork is as ever amazing, the tones and shading are simply brilliant

I have to admit kelli you always have been a better artist than myself and it truly is a pleasure to be able to see your work.
